Located in Tulum on the magical Mayan coast, Papaya Playa is nestled amongst the trees, overlooking the white sand coast of the stunning Caribbean Sea. Our hotel caters to the guest seeking an alternative to big resort vacations. Our restaurant, bar and caba�as are surrounded by tropical plants and white sand walkways, creating a very informal and naturally ambiance retreat. We have created an environment where guests can rest mind and body, and where nature simple pleasures replenish the soul.

Papaya Playa is a small resort with 56 caba�as and 4 villas, restaurant - bar and beach club on 800 meters of beautiful beachfront property. All of our caba�as are built with natural materials using traditional techniques by local Mayans, allowing the Caribbean breeze to pass through your caba�a while you�re sleeping. The beach of Tulum does not have electricity, so until we find a greener mean of generating power, electricity is on from 8:00 am to 12 pm and from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. To minimize the impact on our little piece of paradise, only a few of our rooms have been built with private bathrooms. Our recently constructed common bathrooms provide clean, wide facilities. Papaya Playa is a simple resort with simple accomdations where you can rejuvinate yourself with natures simple pleasures by becoming a part of them.
